Freedom of conscience, belief and expression

  • Freedom of conscience, thought, belief, and religion is absolute. No religious or ideological coercion shall be imposed by state institutions, the President, or the Sanhedrin.
  • Freedom of expression, freedom of the press, artistic and intellectual creation, and the free exchange of information shall not be restricted, censored, or subjected to government supervision, except in narrowly defined and exceptional cases involving direct and immediate incitement to violence, criminal fraud, perjury, or a clear, grave, and imminent threat to national security in time of war.
